Please note that I no longer support custom MySpace overlays. Code examples are proof of concept. MySpace may have modified their layouts which may have had an impact on overlay code from this site.

With over 22,000+ downloads to date, the Dark Minimal MySpace DIV Overlay has received a great amount of success aiding MySpace users in covering the default eyesore. After coming to the realization that the overlay was due for a fresh revision, I decided an older overlay that I had created would be a worthy replacement.
Download
Reference the installation instructions as well as the FAQ below before activating the overlay in your profile. This overlay will cover the entire default MySpace profile meaning that blog post announcements and comments are hidden from view. I’ve included two alternative color schemes (pink & orange) towards the bottom of the post.
Please respect any modifications made by fellow MySpace members by not ripping personal images or changes without consent. Please give credit where credit is due. I’ve provided this overlay free of charge. Do not redistribute as your own. In exchange for sharing, I request that the “TryIt” links remain intact in the middle column. If you’ve found the tutorial series and or Minimal MySpace overlay helpful, consider a purchase from Threadless and put some threads on my back.

Questions
- Will this profile look the same in IE?: I have made every effort to make sure that this profile loads as it should in its default form in Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, and Safari. If the profile does not look as it should for you, continue reading.
- The old profile is sticking out the sides! Help?: If you find that the default profile is showing through behind the overlay, delete any comments with wide images.
- My comments are gone! How do I get them back?: As stated earlier, the overlay is completely separate from the default profile. As such, comments are hidden from view. If you wish to display comments in a scrollable DIV, please check Google for the appropriate overlay comments code.
- How do I get my blog posts and comments to show?: The overlay download is completely separated from the default MySpace profile. Understand that everything will need to be hard coded into your layout.
- Can I have a different color overlay?: Sure you can, reference the Noteworthy’s below.
Noteworthy
- You may be interested in the Dark Minimal MySpace DIV Overlay, or any one of the step-by-step tutorials: one, two, three, or four.
- In an effort to keep the distribution choices as open as possible, I’ve prepackaged two additional downloads: Minimal Pink MySpace DIV Overlay & Minimal Orange MySpace DIV Overlay.
- I think I should take the time to explain that I do not personally endorse the MySpace service. I’m simply doing my part contributing to the community.
