The Threadless of pins, Prickie buttons

  • June 9th, 2006

prickieAbout a month ago, I received a few buttons from Prickie.com. Since then, these pins have found their way on to my own messenger bag, a friends backpack, and a few computer desktops. Having received quite a number of inquiries concerning the tiny 1″ buttons, I realized that I had yet to share my thoughts concerning these detailed pieces.

Each meticulously crafted button in itself can be considered a work of art. Not surprising considering designs are submitted by artists from around the globe. Similar to Threadless, graphic designers and artists – young and old – have the opportunity to submit their own designs on Prickie. However, unlike Threadless, artists receive a commission on each button sold. Do you have something worth printing on a Prickie button? Submit your design, set a price, and wait for the orders to roll in.

Foolery pointed out that a quick Google search for “talking poop photos” returns a talking poop button from my Flickrstream. The only real question now is “who searches for talking poop?”
