There were a few requests for the desktop wallpaper that I was using during the Logitech diNovo Edge wireless Blueooth keyboard screencast published a few days back. Feel free to download any one of the resolutions below. The JPEG files are unlocked so for those interested in other color options, drop the images into Photoshop and tweak the hue & saturation to your hearts content.

It all started with a “Free Delivery” via email. A notification that I had been invited to download a small set of royalty-free icons straight from IconBuffet servers. I admit that my interest soon waned as the idea of constantly seeking specific sets to complete an icon collection sounded altogether time consuming and tedious. Weeks passed until an opportunity presented itself requiring the use of detail oriented icons. Being in somewhat of a bind, I rediscovered the convenience of IconBuffet’s paid-for icon sets. Paid for icons are like fonts; sound investments which may ultimately improve your productivity and results later on down the road.

Although budget developers may balk at the premium price(s) for higher pixel count [detailed] sets, understand that IconBuffet appeals to the masses by offering more affordable icon options – even going so far as to offer free icon sets acquired through icon swaps. These swaps require a little detective work wading through requests in the forum, or chancing upon posted opportunities such as this. With a little patience & strategy, your persistence may soon pay off resulting in a sizable collection of royalty-free icons. Mini Sweetie icon set

I still can’t find the courage to work some mini icons into the page. I make sure to save sets that I think I’ll find a use for. Joseph North’s Sweetie set is one such package worth nothing. 150+ clear mini icons with the included PSD files. Included PSD files are always great for times when a few more pixels need coercing.

Honorably mentionable icon set by Some Random Dude. 16 x 16 pixel icon set easily recolored with CSS and background colors. Currently contemplating whether or not icons would clutter the layout. Nonetheless, Sanscons deserve additional attention [to detail]. Why didn’t I think of this?
