Are you protecting [power surge] your mobile gadgets?
You never understand just how important a surge protector is until you experience the downside of being without. As your collection of mobile gadgets grows, so to does your need for safe power. If you’re lugging around a notebook computer (or two), your cellphone, or any other valuable electronics, I highly recommend investing in a surge protector [if you don't already have one]. You really don’t have an excuse not to carry one in your backpack or messenger bag. Travel surge protectors are effective, better than previous generation offerings, and have miniature footprints.
Case in point, Belkin’s latest Mini Surge / USB Charger
The compact surge protector / charger is small and lightweight allowing it to fit nicely inside any of your bags. Because some wall outlets are not conveniently accessible to accommodate such a surge protector with multiple adapters of varying sizes connected, the device can pivot 360 degrees at 90 degree increments.
At home, I rely on a few PowerSquid surge protectors
PROS: A small footprint keeps this surge protector one of the lightest and smallest multi-adapter / device unit on the market. 3 AC & 2 USB ports means I can charge up to two laptops, a camera charger, and two cellphones at the same time safely. $75,000 warranty / protection from Belkin in the event of damage while using the adapter.
CONS: AC ports are not designed for wide [horizontal] plugs. Button lock for rotating plug can be difficult to press (unlock). Multiple heavy adapters will pull this mini surge protector off the wall.

Looks nice. I should seriously pick one up. On campus I’m always in need of an outlet and just having the ability to split an outlet with someone is helpful. Not to mention my gadgets would be protected if a random surge passes through.

I concur, it looks nice. I love most of Belkin’s design. But I digress. I don’t really use a fancy surge protector, but I do use a basic one for my computer and printers and most of my peripherals. But I don’t use a surge protector to charge my gadget and portables because most of my surge protector is buried somewhere deep in hard to reach places.

I can’t believe how small and light (looking) they’ve been able to keep this. I was under the impression that the beefier the surge protector the better, which is why the one for my A/V setup looks like a small black animal sleeping next to my tv

History: I always liked & used Belkin’s products since i got my very first computer and my very first surge protector.
About 2 years ago my surged (Belkin) literally melted ( There was a huge thunderstorm from that morning) and saved my equipment while i was playing online. The have a amazing product replacement in virtually everything then make, and they never requested the old melted surge back, they simple asked me a few questions and in no time, UPS had a new one at my door, i was happy and still continue to buy their products.
About the mentioned product: its small and seems useless but my friend of mines have this and i used it many times to charge my music player and cell phone on this mini device, if any one has is going to buy this , buy it with confident, amazing product for not so amazing gadgets

I own the Belkin Mini Surge USB its pretty cool, the only thing is the fact that the plug is built in a way that doesnt allow for easy storage. Other than that its great. When I travel its easier with this and couple of USB cords for my peripherals, so I can sync them or charge them.

I’ve been using the monster ‘outlets to go’ strip for awhile. 4 outlets and it’s extremely packable. The cord wraps around the surge block when not in use, making it the size of an eyeglasses case.

Yeah but…
There are - maybe a hand full of good gadgets out there but if u noticed this also recharges USB type products too. I still say Belkin makes great product that i can proudly stand by for the past 7 years as a power surge user.

I actually i have claimed before, but my damage was little and i told them i didn’t want to claim the cheap electronic but they gave me a brand new surge at no cost, not even a shipping cost.

Having worked int he “warranty” industry I know the 75K is ridiculous. No one in their life would ever get to see that kind of cash for a $30 product. However, we all still need the protector — warranty or no warranty … speaking from personal experience
