The 9rules badge has finally found its way on to the pages of 5ThirtyOne. Stay tuned throughout the next few weeks as Scrivens and the team make their way through the new additions by featuring each respective site on the pages of 9rules.
You promise to maintain the standards you have set for your site and will strive to continuously improve the quality of the content to allow for a better experience for you, your audience and the Network. #
Rest assured that my inclusion into the 9rule Network will not affect the ergh “quality” of the content & brain farts published throughout 5ThirtyOne. I fear that I have yet to feel the full weight of the network until the public announcement for these here humble pages on the official 9rules blog. My only uncertainty is my ability to match the current quality of posts from the likes of Paul Stamatiou, Mashable, ionfish, Godbit, and if…Else Log to name a few.
Like so many before me, I anticipate the priveledge to contribute to the current content-rich communities which comprise the network.
And finally, I leave you with a bit of hand trickery. I have yet to figure out how contort my fingers to mimic the thumbnail. Unfortunately, the email source did not cite the original. Regardless, anyone can grab their “blog” t-shirt from Threadless. Can anyone else rep their livelihood? I managed to output something that looked like b-l-o-o.

Congratulations Derek, I agree with you, it is a responsibility, but at least a very lovely one.. it is like a reward to something you are doing for passion not for the reward itself
Thanks Rida. It looks like all the new members are starting to throw their badges up now that the agreements have been emailed.
Your content is always great.
You fit in exactly where you should with the rest of the 9rules sites.
What community(or communities) did you get listed under?
I don’t believe I’ve been listed yet. From what I’ve heard, we have the opportunity to drop feedback concerning our thoughts on placement within each or multiple communities. I’m sure I can trust Tyme’s judgement as far as community placement is concerned.
I think you will keep up just fine.
Congrats Derek! Soon you’ll be the blog king xD
Congrats Derek. Am looking forward to what will the 9Rules inclusion bring to this blog apart from the already great posts.
Good job, Derek. You finally found your nine.
That’s right Poldo, I finally found my nine. I made sure to update the footer link to reflect the update
Roll your index finder into your thumb. Thumb pointed up towards the sky.
Point your middle finger up as well.
Your ring finger should fold down, then push it towards the right and rest it on your middle finger so it doesn’t slip.
Then just make a ring out of your thumb and index finger with your left hand and let your middle finger fall below and make a hook.
Congrats by the way
Koray, your hand holding lesson on recreating the blog sign worked. Although, I have a tough time keeping my ring finger in place against my middle finger.
Hey Derek, Congrats bud! I’m a touch late, but what the hay!? I’ve fallen off the blogosphere for a while and now getting back on track slowly.
You deserve this badge dude. Wear it well.
It’s been awhile Jay. How’s the mouth healing up?
Hi Derek, congratulation! That’s huge but somewhat expected. I knew with the content of this site, you are going to make it for sure.
Not bad, had the root canal (partially frozen only – don’t ask… but ouch!) a couple of weeks ago. Now I have an appointment on the 27th the get temporary crowns put in. I can’t wait to get my smile back. Other than that, everything is healed up pretty good actually. Gonna have some lingering after effects for some time to come, but it could have been worse.
[...] Roughly 10 months ago, I was invited to the 9rules network (visit to find out more). Although I have been fortunate enough to meet contacts both within and outside the network, there is one particular individual whom I have learned a considerable amount of wisdom from through well-written articles and personal chats. Neil Patel – recognized for his consulting work through ACS, blog articles at Pronet Advertising, and traffic analysis with Crazy Egg – knows a thing or two (sarcasm) about marketing and "branding". If you’ve ever wondered how Neil manages to drive traffic, you can find his secrets, tips, and tricks on his latest blog venture – QuickSprout. If you think about all the people that have high paying jobs, you’ll notice that some are talented and some are not. Regardless of how good they are, they are all perceived as “rock stars†and sometimes looked up to like celebrities. […] If you don’t think good things can happen to you, just look at me. About 6 months ago, no one in the online marketing industry knew about me yet in the last few months I have been covered in multiple trade publications such as the Wall Street Journal. I’ve also had job offers of six figures that would have let me finish college and work from home. A six figure income isn’t enough to retire on by any stretch but at 21 years old these aren’t bad offers at all. [...]
