Topping the charts on Squidoo
I am a little miffed / surprised but it looks like my Squidoo lens regarding MySpace is sitting at #1 on the Top 100 chart (quick check now before it falls off the board!).
For those unaware of the purpose behind Seth Godin’s Squidoo, think of the service as a platform allowing you to present information in which you believe yourself to be the all-mighty know it all. However, do not mistake my lens as proof that I know what I’m talking about regarding MySpace. The lens was created simply to collect all the information that I thought would have been useful to the worlds professional MySpace-ers. Ack.
On a more humorous note, a random reader tipped me to the fact that I had listed the Mozilla extensions website as Mozilla ASSons rather than ADDons.
By the way, when I initially signed up for Squidoo during its beta period, the idea was that Lensmasters would get a cut of the profit for creating high traffic lens. What’s the status on the kickbacks?

good question about the kickbacks. thats why i stopped making squidoo lenses, because it didnt seem to be generating 1) any (or not many) click-throughs to my site, or 2) wasn’t giving me any ad revenue. the basic idea of the lens is pretty awesome though, but most of the ones ive seen still suck
