I just can’t seem to keep my hands away from the template long enough for things to settle. While the public Foliage distribution has not changed since I last announced availability, I thought it would be a good time to modify my personal installation here on 5ThirtyOne.
Noticeable changes:
Moo.fxScript.aculo.us powered shelf containing the navigation and recent posts. Go ahead.. tug on the ‘pull’ tab. I’ve wasted loads time watching it go up and down.- Reduced font size: larger fonts aren’t for everyone. I felt that a smaller font size would fit with the layout.
- Texture: Straight lines seemed a little too straight for separating top and bottom content.
I’ll continue working on the modified version. Rest assured that once again comments are at the top of the priority list. If need be, feel free to drop a comment in my Flickrstream. Features that I am experimenting with during this live redesign and gnat hunt will eventually find their way into the public distribution.
I have not yet decided if the distribution will come prepackaged with Moo.fx or if a tutorial would be more beneficial.
UPDATE: I’m aware of the issue with Safari displaying the ‘pull’ tab in the content area. Noticeable content being cutoff on single posts page views with shorter posts. I’ll address this issue tonight.
Temporary fix for the alignment issues solved resolved by removing the bottom content from pages. A fresh update will be up soon.

I suffer from the same disorder
we should start a ocdd (obsessive compulsive design disorder) blog network. we can have a snazzy icon to display on our sites to let everyone know. doing so would explain why our blog layouts are continually changing.
That’s a good idea
[...] I am sure everyone and their brother will have an entry entitled “CSS Reboot” today but oh well, what else should I call it? Frankly I do not know why they call it a “reboot” in the first place, but that is just me. Today marks another CSS “Reboot” for the World Wide Web community. For the non web inclined, the CSS Reboot is an orchestrated “re-styling” of websites across the world. What you see before you is my half-assed attempt at a reboot. One of these days I will produce something I am happy with. I think I have what derek has; “Obsessive Compulsive [design] Disorder”. Anyways I have been checking out some of the “reboots” and they all look pretty good. I already have ideas for my next reboot (which for me will probably be in a couple weeks lol). [...]
